Hot Tub Removal in Providence, RI
An old hot tub is one of the hardest things to get rid of yourself: it's heavy, it rarely fits through a gate in one piece, and towns won't take it at the curb. We take it apart and haul it away.
How hot tub removal works
- You (or an electrician) shut off and disconnect the power at the breaker. Hardwired spas should be disconnected by a licensed electrician.
- Drain the tub a day or two ahead if you can.
- We cut it into manageable sections if it won't come out whole, load it, and haul it away.
- We sweep up the debris. The pad or deck stays.
What affects the price
- Size and weight of the tub
- Access: a backyard with a wide gate vs. a raised deck or a tight side yard
- Whether it needs to be cut up on site
- Steps, covers, surrounds or gazebos going too
Typical cost
HomeGuide puts hot tub removal at about $200–$600, average around $400 (HomeGuide), and Angi lists a similar $200–$600 range. These are typical published ranges, not our price list. Send photos with the form or text them after you call for a quote.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to drain the hot tub?
Yes, please drain it before pickup if you can. A full tub is far heavier and much harder to move.
Do you disconnect the electrical?
No. Turn off the breaker, and for hardwired spas have a licensed electrician disconnect it before we arrive.
Can you remove an inground or built-in spa?
Built-in spas are a bigger job. Call with details and photos so we can tell you whether we can handle it.
